My instincts are telling me that the sheep in the USA (followed very quickly by every other congregation worldwide) are being primed for the consolidation/merging "master plan" (TM) going into warp-drive in 2018/19.

The "friends" in the U.S. think nothing of driving long distances (in comparison to UK JW's) and they pay a lot less for their petrol/diesel. If U.S. Witnesses get upset, I can't wait to see how the U.K./European sheeple will respond.

The org's chariot continues its road-killing programme.

Checking Up On Disfellowshipped Ones

if my memory serves me right in the 80's there was an effort to call on those who were disfellowshipped.

elders would seek them out (or we're supposed to) to see if there was anything they could do to help them come back.

it seemed like a good idea at the time to me.

Maybe a number of faithful publishers were troubled by the blatant "one law for some and another law for others" and were asking the org a very troublesome question:

"The organization forbids publishers from trying to encourage their disfellowshipped loved one to return to the org, but encourages elders to do so. Where is the scriptural guidance/principle for this contradiction?"

Basically the WTBTS's response was, "Very interesting brother, but keep your mouth shut, and do not discuss this with any other J.W.'s Just wait on Jehovah/His organization to come up with any new information. We're in charge of divulging what is"truth" - not you!"

i am now officially 'inactive' so am no longer chased by an elder a for a report.

the congregation i belonged to never had much time for me anyway, i said once i could drop down dead in the k.hall and no one would notice.

so i never expected anyone to be particularly bothered that i wasn't there and they aren't.

So sorry that you're hurting because of the shunning. That's what the shunning's supposed to do - hurt you so much that you want to crawl back on your hands and knees and beg the shunners to forgive you.

We should mourn that our blinded shunners are unable/unwilling to assimilate any of the information which exposes their beloved organization, and not that we've lost such cult-directed friendships. It hurts to know that sincere love and compassion can be repaid in such an inhuman way. I hope you make new and better friends soon.

Who cares! It's a helluva lot of cash in the eyes of the fleeced sheep who are continually being asked to give more!

Advertise, advertise, advertise - how the org is squandering the Worldwide Work contributions to cover its sins! Information like this can easily be shared without any problem; "Isn't it terrible that Jehovah's organization is now being attacked by Satan's system via the courts. How can they justify fining us $4000 per day?" :)

Perhaps an alternative question/suggestion could be - "Why don't all religions lose their tax-free status?"

Just imagine the sizeable revenues which many countries would receive if they made religions pay their way in society.

started going to meetings in march 2017, went to the memorial and attended my first convention.

Hi Allyson, welcome. You're about to find out how unloving J.W. elders really are when they get you into their interrogation room.

Sadly, most J.W.'s realise too late that they don't have to discuss their private lives with the elders - or anyone else for that matter. Quietly tell one of these wolves that you don't wish to discuss your private & personal situation with anyone at the moment. DO NOT SPEAK WITH 2 ELDERS AT THE SAME TIME! Politely inform him that you have done nothing which requires elders involvement.

The elders reaction to your positive stance will prove that J.W.'s are cult-driven. Time for you to leave and be thankful you didn't get in deeper. Many here will envy you. Best wishes.

The Governing Body Doing The Math As Corporate CEOs

he made light of his role and the rest of management's predicament by saying on a public broadcast: "in doing the math we found that the amount of money flowing out will be much greater than the amount of money coming in at this time".

clearly the guys on the gb have very little business sense to let things get so out of hand with tons of projects in the works and having to close all of them except for warwick, and one in england.. i have to wonder just what type of math these dead heads on the gb even know or consider when making all their plans for the future of the corporation they have leadership over.

The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses is nothing more than a group of men who have been put into a position of public oversight and alleged spiritual authority of a religious denomination - in other words, front-men or puppets. Individually, not one of them has any financial management or business expertise which would qualify their running of a multi-billion dollar corporation. They are simply the issuers & enforcers of WTBTS's laws and regulations.

Probably the Revised Revision of the Updated New World Translation will give "new light" interpretations of some verses, e.g. 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and 144,000 men, a man, Christ Jesus."
